JEFFREY CAMPBELL

Ten years old and hailing from the heart of Los Angeles, Jeffrey Campbell has slowly become the footwear brand to know in the US. As the collection has grown, changed, evolved and expanded we have worked diligently to offer a point of view that reflects who we are—who we strive to become. Our family based company, small and hard working, is forever on the search for new inspiration, concepts and details which all combine to create the many styles you see us offer each season. In short, we love what we do, and we strive to show that passion in each seasonal offering.

Based around vintage inspirations, runway trending and the grind of daily life, Jeffrey Campbell has emerged as the footwear choice of fashion nomads globally. In recent years, Jeffrey Campbell has become more available in Europe, popping up in high concept boutiques and on the shelves of top retailers across the continent. With our focus on an international fashion conscious client we have been thrilled to see our collection being offered globally, arriving on the doorsteps of more and more top boutiques around the world each season. We are sold regularly across all of Asia, Canada, Australia, The UK, New Zealand and the list of countries grow, as we continue to develop our brand.

Jeffrey Campbell remains today a small family owned fashion forward footwear label, that roots itself in creating fast paced footwear for the woman on the go. Our inspiration comes from the everyday woman, the girl on the street, the lady on the subway, the inspiration is YOU. With an eye for detail and a close concentration to concept and design, the Jeffrey Campbell collection offers something for everyone. Thank you to all of our valued clients both new and old, we thank you for the most amazing past ten years, and we look forward to the next ten. You can easily stay up to date with all of our new projects, adventures and newest arrivals by staying up to speed with our daily blog, or by following us on twitter @JCshoes.

All this and the the company is staffed by the nicest sweetest people in the world!!!!!!

Iman Toloui was created by Saman Iman Toloui from a love of beautiful things. Inspired by idiosyncrasies, craftsmanship and a quest for the perfect proportions, her designs have a distinct look that embraces history, worldwide standards of cultural ornamentation, and the modern aesthetic. Having been a designer since childhood, Saman’s studies at Art Center College of Design helped to develop the rigorous practice of turning her subconscious thoughts and ideas of beauty into wearable art. IMAN TOLOUI was conceived and is constructed in California with love and care. The brand is exclusive to us in Canada. We have both the brown and black. so stunning in either color way

DIEPPA RESTREPO

Inspired by classic gentleman’s style, Dieppa Restrepo is a sophisticated unisex collection of shoes founded by Colombian duo Andrea Vargas Dieppa and Elisa Restrepo. Blurring the division between the sexes, the collection is refined, androgynous and elegant. The shoe is the quintessential grown up sneaker: beautiful and simple enough for the chic and fashion-minded, yet comfortable and durable enough for their contemporary urban lifestyle. The shoe is a walking dichotomy, both non-intrusive and timeless, yet modern and undeniably present.

HOPE WOMEN'S SHOES
MEN'S & LADIES BAGS AND HATS

OUR VISION

Hope is a lifestyle concept that exists in the field of fashion with a special liking for original and classic design. Our concept is consistent and recognisable. We like solid and true engagement for all parts included in the making process. We believe that our global customer share similar demand for a well-made concept as we do.

THE DESIGN

The design stems from a masculine platform and inspiration derives from traditional men's work wear and vintage uniforms. We like a visible connection between the handcraft of tailoring and classic function. The clean silhouette is well fitted with innovated cut lines carefully placed, not to disturb the function, but to enlarge the product.

DETAILS

Hope focuses on details because they strengthen the product without interrupting the wearability. Details like asymmetric shaped pocket flaps, hidden closures, contrast fabric patches and stitching in various thickness, length and colour, add value and function to the design.

ACCESSORIES & SHOES
The key items in a look are the shoes and the accessoires. Hope uses high quality finishing such as washed and treated materials. Accessoires are also the perfect way to easily update an outfit from day to day.

NEW COLORS HAVE ARRIVED!

The basis of ela is the idea of humble luxury, where refined and sophisticated silhouettes strive to showcase, rather than upstage, the wearer. From subtle asymmetry to luxe hardware and leather, every design element is infused with a high level of craftsmanship, materials and a signature aesthetic.

It was while working in public relations at Hermès Canada when Ela Kowalewska developed a passion for leather goods, and an understanding for high-end craftsmanship and design. She later held a post at Burberry in London, England, and decided it was time to further explore her love of handbags. In 2008, a chance meeting with Jimmy Choo (who also saw her sketches) reassured her path. ela's co founder, Martin Aldorsson comes from a background in marketing and advertising. His portfolio includes positions at global agencies BBDO New York, and McCann Erickson in London. Most recently, he served as the brand manager for Havaianas in North America.

WON HUNDRED MEN'S & LADIES

Having long felt the urge to launch his own vision of a distinctive clothing line Nikolaj Nielsen, an industry veteran with a vast background in denim, founded Won hundred with the ambition to challenge the way fashion was grasped in native Denmark.
Being a new brand with a collection rooted in classical menswear and traditional formalwear and a willingness to take risks, Won hundred soon experienced a rapidly increasement in interest and attention from both press and retailers. The following season the brand launched an extensive ready-to-wear collection ranging from t-shirts to tailor made suits for both men and women flanked by a comprehensive jeans programme.
Today the team behind Won hundred works proactively with the mantras; passion, awareness, reaction & fascination in all senses from early stage sketches to final production. The entrepreneurial approach to the Inspiration is, whether conceptual or by sudden impulse, primarily found within different movements in music, cinema and art and serves as a foundation for the sustained mission; to define a modern style for the multifaceted and enthusiastic individuals.
2008 has presented several milestones in the company’s history. In February Won hundred hosted their first of two major fashion shows during the Copenhagen Fashion Week and had several greatreviews by the international press. The following weeks the imagebooks for both S/S08 and A/W08 won renowned European and American Art Direction awards in the category Best Catalogue. Won hundred has in less than 5 years managed to establish a strong foundation and identity on a national as well as an international level. Today the brand is represented in more than 170 selected stores around the world and has established offices and showrooms in Copenhagen Denmark and at agencies scattered across Europe, and are now seeking to east, Japan and west, US. Each year Won hundred presents 4 collections replenished by the jeans line ‘Won hundred Jeans’ and a more basic programme ‘WH100’. All the shoes are handmade. Made in EU

Beau Coops 4 Karen Walker

Carrie: As we are in the business of ‘making new ideas’, what tends to pull at you to bring out these new ideas? In other words, who or what is your muse?
Karen: We look for the right amount of wrong to spark our ideas. In the past it’s been anything from religious cults to peculiar characters in movies, to photographs of car interiors to music oddballs; this season we’re looking to Kevin Rowland.

Carrie: Collaborations in footwear (like our Beau Coops 4 Karen Walker line) are not uncommon throughout fashion history. A favourite of mine, the first I believe, was the Roger Vivier footwear designs for Dior (well, the first to be noted on the product, anyhow) was a great example of how two good heads can butt. There is potentially an even longer list of the wrong collaborations. So what’s been the ‘sweets’ from this collaboration so far, and how does the BC aesthetic fit into your KW world?
Karen: It’s great when you say “we’re looking at a William Eggleston photograph of a 1970s Cadillac interior” and the shoes come back and they reflect that and they’re great!

Carrie: Who do you look up to?
Karen: Phil, my I.T. guy because without him I’d resort to violence.

Carrie: What do you like, I mean really, really like?
Karen: Cupcakes, Larry David, travel, nice hotels, good wine, my daughter, my husband, Coronation street, Dexys Midnight Runners. You?
Carrie: Old antique portrait photos, sail boats, friends, wine, food and travel (best served together!), jumping off a wharf in summer. And a Hendricks and Tonic at the end of a hard day.

Carrie: What’s your poison?
Karen: Pinot Gris, Champagne or San Pelligrino. You?
Carrie: Hendricks and Tonic (as noted above) and Krug when the moment strikes!

Carrie: With our shoes about to hit the shelves, what’s up and coming for you?
Karen: We’re halfway through doing next northern hemisphere winter. We think its inspiration’s pretty cool — Kevin Rowland at his peak. You?
Carrie: Well I think we are going to give our ladies some well-earned attitude. Not a stiletto in sight! The new range we are working on makes me wanna dance!

Carrie: See you pool side with a G and T next time!

Chasse Gardée is pleased to be one of only four select boutiques in Canada to carry the line. We are the only boutique in Ontario to get these gorgeous shoes. We can ship if you can't get in just give us a call or email us.

A Détacher Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear

shoes and bags fabrics and fur clothing pics will be up tomorrow

"You know, Mona is launching activewear this season," deadpanned Assembly New York owner Greg Armas at the start of today's A Détacher show. "Activewear for reading." Armas—a devotee of A Détacher—was joking. But "activewear for girls who read" wouldn't be a bad way of describing Mona Kowalska's clothes. A slinky sweater dress, for example, somewhat sheer around the collarbone and banded at the bottom, is just the kind of chic, easy piece that works perfectly well for an art opening, a matinee at the Film Forum, dinner at the Waverly, or an evening cozied up on the sofa with Lydia Davis' new translation of Madame Bovary. Ditto a silk jumpsuit in a graphic purple and white squiggle print, or an extra-long, grass green cashmere cardigan.

There was a particularly academic, tweedy feel to A Détacher this season, never mind the absence of any actual tweed. Wide-wale corduroy jackets and dirndl skirts came off boho-preppy, while sweaters with knit-in ruffle details and long shift dresses were winningly gamine. Some of the strongest looks here were the most pared-back, notably a collarless blouse and high-waist trouser combo in contrasting shades of gray wool, topped by a surprisingly understated purple fur vest. Again: easy, chic. Kowalska also impressed with this season's accessories: A nubby knit, used in vests and long scarves, also featured in the must-have headband/kerchief hats worn by all the models, and a simple white clutch bag was minimally perfect. All in all, it was another collection of exceptionally smart clothes that are no-brainers to wear—and therefore leave plenty of mental space free for thinking about other things.
